Next webinar: Thursday 26th February 2026, 8am and 4pm UK time

Community Village is a blended English language structure, vocabulary, and reading programme for post-16 and adult ESOL learners. The innovative programme uses an online, gamified environment to help you engage and motivate ESOL, low-level literacy, and SEND adults, as well as post-16 learners and community members in a school, college, work, or community setting. The blended learning programme is suitable for both self study and class teaching.

Community Village (The City) includes:

  • All language skills from Pre-Entry ESOL level through to ESOL Level 3
  • A Survival Language (everyday language) learning journey
  • Reading support for pre-literate or low-level literacy ESOL adults and post-16 learners, including phonics and spelling, blending and decoding, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension
  • Language for special purposes, e.g. communications in schools and language for the workplace
  • Customisable printable resources to support engagement in class teaching

This webinar provides an introduction to the world of Community Village. We’ll explain how the programme operates and show you the benefits it brings to ESOL adult and post-16 learners, as well as the wider community. The webinar also includes a short introduction to remote learning through the programme.
