Open to all: Introduction to the Community Village (Adult ESOL) - May

The Community Village is a blended vocabulary, language structure and reading support programme to help you engage ESOL, low-level literacy and SEND parents and community members in the school context. Community Village (The City) includes:

• Beginner to intermediate English (including survival language)

• Reading support: Phonics and spelling - blending & decoding, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension

• Curriculum content - language to support and understand their child’s school curriculum

• Resources to support community engagement

• Options for parents to learn alongside their child/children

This webinar provides an introduction to the world of the Community Village. We’ll explain how the programme operates and show the benefits it brings to learners, teachers and the whole school community. This includes a short introduction to remote learning through the platform.
